Autosmile

Description

Fraîchement signed with 4AD, the duo @ is releasing ‘Autosmile’, their first effort on the British label. Victoria Rose and Stone Filipczak offer an art-folk characterized by incisive songwriting and inventive production on the border of baroque. After their first album ‘Mind Palace’, the EP ‘Are You There God? It’s Me, @’, and opening concerts for Jessica Pratt and Cameron Witner, the Philadelphia group returns with a second album ‘Autosmile’.
Self-recorded, produced and mixed by Victoria and Stone, ‘Autosmile’ unfolds @’s vision, paying tribute to an entire lineage of iconoclastic artists, including Fairport Conveniton, Neutral Milk Hotel and Animal Collective, while succeeding in creating music that is as timeless as it is avant-garde, adventurous and full of wisdom.
