Against

Description

Nearly seven years after The Throne Within, marked by its spiritual and metaphysical themes, the band returns with Against, an album more grounded in reality, devoted to pushing beyond limits and refusing to submit. As Ram explains, the record captures “that fire of defiance” that defines its title and spirit. Written over several years, the album brings together ideas that are sometimes very old: “Leaving,” in particular, contains elements dating back to 2006. Despite this long gestation, the process remained natural and instinctive. Drawing on their experience, the band favored shorter, more direct tracks, with a clear aim: “to cut the superfluous.” An approach that gives Against all its intensity.
