Armando Trovajoli's score for the film is a masterpiece of dramatic musical writing, skillfully combining his great passion for jazz ("Those Lazy Days") with the need for a distinctive melancholic and touching theme, splendidly arranged for a large orchestra ("In the Dark"). The flagship track is the hit song "Che Vuole Questa Musica Stasera," a ballad of exquisite, moving, and decadent charm, performed by Peppino Gagliardi.
