Reissue of the album "Un beau matin" by Areski Belkacem, a unique artist and long-time collaborator of Brigitte Fontaine and Jacques Higelin. His first record released under his name, originally released in 1971 on the Saravah label. The artist, partner of Brigitte Fontaine, released this record the same year as the famous "Comme à la radio," on which the couple collaborated with the Art Ensemble of Chicago. The album features eleven zen and stripped-down tracks adorned with Berber and African percussion. The offbeat, poetic, and dreamlike songs evoke daily life, social issues, or hallucinations. Inspired, poetic, in a word essential: "Un Beau Matin" is one of the best albums of the French underground scene, produced by Pierre Barouh on his Saravah label.
