January 2015 will see the birth of RESTRICTION, ARCHIVE’s eleventh album, following the critical and public success of Axiom. RESTRICTION therefore has to live up to expectations. To do so, the collective has decided to make each of the tracks on it an independent work, self-contained, while at the same time elevating and being elevated by the rest of the album. Darius Keeler, founding member of ARCHIVE, explains: “We agreed to make an album with twelve songs that are clearly distinct from one another, all coming from roughly the same place, but at the same time diverse and unique.” Once RESTRICTION is unveiled, ARCHIVE plans to launch what will be, to date, its biggest and most ambitious tour. “RESTRICTION 2015” will begin in Amsterdam on February 20 and will make a full tour of Europe, including around fifteen French dates, among them 5 Zénith venues in the country. ARCHIVE will no doubt surprise us once again with this new album, which already promises to be a worthy follow-up to the rest of its discography, if not the pinnacle of its career. “One of the things I love about Archive is the way we are able to change and evolve with each record and take our fans on a journey. Restriction is the next destination on that journey and I’m eager to share it with the people who matter most,” says Darius Keeler. RESTRICTION will surely be the best way to enter 2015, and will quickly establish itself as a must-have at the start of the year.
