Arc de Soleil is one of the many pseudonyms of composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Kadawatha. Inspired by his father's love for the Spotnicks and their soaring guitar sound, Daniel grew up listening to his father play their songs on his homemade guitar amp. This early exposure to music shaped Daniel's musical tastes and influenced his decision to become a musician himself. The Arc De Soleil project is a return to something very natural. It draws inspiration from the vintage sound of the Spotnicks and the Shadows, as well as the funk rhythms of Asha Bhosle and contemporary artists like Khruangbin, to create a sound that is uniquely his own. By emphasizing strong melodies and string instruments like the guitar and sitar, as well as catchy grooves and rhythms, the music of Arc De Soleil is both nostalgic and innovative. "The process of creating the song unfolded effortlessly, in the sense that many things fell into place quite quickly. The groove, the vibe, and the instrumentation were clear to me even before I started producing the track. I tried several guitar melodies before finding one that was artistically suggestive while remaining accessible." "Sunchaser" illustrates the idea of being trapped in a kind of perpetual alienation in the face of the world, yearning for a sense of reality that would ignite the soul with a true sense of belonging. Chasing the Sun is a metaphor for the aspiration towards this home of the soul.
