Garoche

Description

“Garocher” means to throw, to send. In music, it means energy, the kind that drives the dance, the kind that makes dancers shout for more (Michaël loves it!). “i te garantis qu'o va garocher !” “Garoche !” is the energy of dance in its raw state. Arbadétorne takes you aboard its dance machine with just what’s needed, where it’s needed, to carry the feet and make the head dream. “Garoche !” is pure wool Vendée dance music with the essential repertoire staples, but also previously unreleased dances on a CD, which the group has been bringing from stages to dance floors for years. The musicians of Arbadétorne share their long history of dance music with you by offering, with “Garoche !”, a Vendée dance party at my house. Dance, yes! But also a treat for the ears, the discovery of melody, the rough sound of violins that smell of the bocage granite, the exhilarating energy of the grand'danse like a winter day facing the sea. Arbadétorne offers you a panorama of the different dance traditions of Vendée. Popular dances, found elsewhere too, but in the local style: if you want them, there are plenty! But above all those that make them unique: avant deux, maraîchines, ronds from the islands of Yeu and Noirmoutier, grand'danses... The leader’s wit, unbridled musical energy, a “little dance to get your feet going”... i te garantis qu'o va garocher !
