Recognized for their great virtuosity and expertise in the baroque repertoire, Vincent Lauzer and Mathieu Lussier have joined forces to offer a range of sonatas by combining the recorder and the bassoon in works by Vivaldi, Fasch, Boismortier, and Telemann. Vincent Lauzer has experienced a meteoric start to his career. A winner of numerous first prizes in national and international competitions, he notably received the Fernand-Lindsay Career Grant in 2015, the first prize at the Tremplin of the Canadian Music Competition, and the Career Development Award from the Women’s Musical Club of Toronto in 2012. For over 20 years, Mathieu Lussier has been passionately and dynamically introducing the bassoon and the baroque bassoon throughout North America and Europe. He also pursues a chamber music career with the Pentaèdre ensemble from Montreal.
