The arias of Domenico Gizzi chosen by Roberta Invernizzi, dating from the glory of the castrato and typically representing male heroes, come from operas by Alessandro Scarlatti, Leonardo Vinci, Domenico Sarro, Francesco Feo, Giovanni Battista Costanzi, Giovanni Bononcini, and Nicola Porpora. Antonio Florio conducts the enthusiastic Turchini with his eternal brilliance, while the text by musicologist Giulia Veneziano explores a territory, still little known, of the history of singing.
