Enigmatic smile

Description

Annisokay is one of the most famous bands in the German metal scene. This album represents a new generation of heavy music, and a new place for the Germans on the musical map. The title of the album Enigmatic Smile originates from a Parisian story from the 19th century, L'Inconnue de la Seine. In 1880, the authorities found the body of a young woman in the Seine, but no one ever came to claim the body. The coroner, impressed by the calm and the smiling expression on the face of the deceased. Her death remains a mystery, and her serene face has become a myth of that century. Enigmatic Smile has captured the dark and morbid aspect of the Inconnue de la Seine, with a heavy, raspy sound, as well as the beauty of this mysterious woman, delicately transformed into melody. Annisokay has attracted the attention of metalcore producers like Joey Sturgis (Asking Alexandria, Emmure, We Came As Romans) and Will Putney (Suicide Silence, Northlane, Miss May I, We Came as Romans, Upon A Burning Body, The Amity Affliction), who came to produce their new album. The band is known for having participated in the tours of Silverstein, Blessthefall, and Eskimo Callboy, Annisokay has also played at the Mammoth Rocks, Vainstream, and Summer Breeze festivals.
