For her third solo album, Anna Prohaska addresses the themes of war and peace in music: Behind the Lines echoes the centenary of the First World War. She skillfully performs pieces by Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Liszt, as well as creations from the turn of the last century with Fauré, Mahler, and Wolf, or a few pieces from the early modern era with Weill and Eisler. Anna Prohaska describes music as a canvas on which she can paint each note with her own timbre. She is accompanied on this recording by the famous pianist Eric Schneider, with whom she has maintained a growing musical rapport for several years.
