Description

Andrew Gabbard is half of the band The Gabbard Brothers, a member of The Black Keys' touring band, and a former member of The Buffalo Killers and Thee Shams. His second album as a solo artist, Cedar City Sweetheart, is released on Karma Chief Records. The songs evoke a familiar feeling for fans of his first album, but new instrumentation and country-tinged lyrics give us a glimpse into another side of Andrew. While he played all the instruments on his first solo album, Homemade, this time he enlisted local musicians to add color. The final product is a collection of higher-quality songs that come together to form a country music album. The songs were written over several years, but they are all very fresh in Andrew's mind.
