This discovery has happened many times in my life and career and it's very exciting to witness it. I say 'witness' because I also watch this happen with all of you and I never really know what's going to happen or how I will respond to or interpret inspiration. We all have aspirations, ideas, or projects, but isn't it most impressive when life surprises us in a way that becomes greater than anything we could have imagined? 'New Blue Sun' and the process in which it was recorded is that discovery and that testimony playing out in real time, alive, breathing, and improvised. It's much more than 'Andre's flute album.
