With ALAMAR, Ana Carla Maza unveils a deeply personal and radiant work, where memory, love, and cultural transmission are transformed into a contemporary and universal musical language. The album takes its name from Alamar, the seaside district of Havana where the artist was born, in the Edificio de los Chilenos - a place steeped in history that welcomed more than 180 Chilean children after 1973. Her father and grandmother were part of this community, and this collective memory of exile, return, and belonging forms the emotional foundation of the project. Written and composed by Ana Carla Maza, ALAMAR unfolds through a singular dialogue between voice and cello, blending the musical traditions of the Americas with modern, elegant, and refined writing.
