Giddy Up / Big Attraction

Description

From Melbourne to stages around the world, it all started with Giddy Up/Big Attraction. Ten years ago, in a shared house on Chapel Street, four twenty-year-olds wrote and recorded an EP in a single afternoon. These six blazing minutes of music became Giddy Up. An hour later, Amyl and The Sniffers had a name, an upload on Bandcamp, and the beginnings of a legacy. After a year of playing shows in backyards and partying in Melbourne's sticky music scene, the band released their iconic second EP Big Attraction in 2017. Today, to celebrate a decade of raw power and fearless spirit, Giddy Up/Big Attraction returns in a fully remastered 12-inch vinyl edition for its 10th anniversary, featuring classics like "I'm Not A Loser" and "Stole My Pushbike," as well as timeless live favorites like "Balaclava Lover Boogie" and "Westgate." The LP is presented in a gatefold sleeve with the iconic photo by Chris Sutherland, a previously unpublished essay by Amy Taylor, and unseen shots by Jamie Wdziekonski, capturing the energetic and imperfect beginnings of the band.
