The future is before our eyes! With singers Mehdi Nassouli (Morocco), Sofiane Saidi (Algeria), and Cheb Hassen Tej (Tunisia), AMMAR 08 offers a radical and electronic reinvention of traditional North African music. "The past is a collective heritage," asserts AMMAR 08. He started this project a year after working with Bargou 08. "I try to weave threads of folklore and mythology into futurism. I don't necessarily project a positive image; what we see today, things are not going in the right direction. I hope this will trigger an alarm."
