Description

Here is a very rare but oh so essential record. It is a suite of recordings made by a blues trio made up of Amina Claudine Myers on vocals and piano, the incredible Cecil McBee on double bass. The sound quality of the whole is extraordinary, and one never tires of listening again to gems like the cover of "Jailhouse Blues," whose introduction, a magnificent double bass solo, is a tribute to all audiophile stereo systems capable of reproducing it. If you are looking to buy only one blues-jazz record, try this one.
