After several months dedicated to its preparation and writing, the recording of "A 20 Ans" was completed at the beginning of May 2007. More involved than ever in the studio work, Amel wrote almost all of her lyrics. She collaborated with Pascal Obispo and Lionel Florence for her first single "Nouveau Français," co-produced by Kore and Volodia. Diam's and Amel worked together on three tracks, including the duet "A 20 ans," which gives its name to the album. Talent runs in the family, as her cousin Panache and her sister Mélissa contribute their valuable input to this album. And finally, as an extraordinary gift, Charles Aznavour offers Amel "Je reste seule," a song written especially for her! This album continues the path already laid out with "un jour d'été," adding her experiences and the sensitivity of a twenty-year-old woman, highlighting all facets of her personality. It remains a breath of fresh air and a call for tolerance and the right to be different, conveyed with simplicity and clarity by Amel.
