First in 1956 as the American star (though Portuguese) of the Compagnons de la Chanson. Then the following year as the headliner, simply accompanied by her two guitarists. In Portugal, Amália Rodrigues was at the height of her glory at that time. But it was these first concerts in France that would launch her towards an international career.
