Composed of both electronic music and playing drums in techno bands, Olafur Arnalds now sets his sights on the music of Frédéric Chopin, of whom he has always been in love. In this album, Chopin's works are performed by the Japanese-German pianist Alice Sara Ott, whom Arnalds sees as "the perfect partner"; her interpretation of Chopin's Waltzes for Deutsche Grammophon has been a true inspiration for him. Recorded by Ólafur Arnalds in his intimate and vintage style: prepared pianos and vintage consoles combined with his own recompositions for strings and piano, this new album offers a unique musical experience.
