The imitation game (bof)

Description

The extraordinary story of Alan Turing, the English mathematician who helped crack the code of the Germans' communication tool during World War II: the Enigma machine. The score of the film was composed by Alexandre Desplat. Winner of a Golden Globe and a Grammy Award, he made his appearance on the Hollywood scene in 2003 with an evocative score for "Girl with a Pearl Earring." From there, he composed for major films such as "The Queen," "The Golden Compass," "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," "Twilight," and "Harry Potter." In 2010, he created the music for the film "The King's Speech" by Tom Hooper, which earned him a fourth nomination for the Oscar for Best Original Score. That same year, he was selected to become a jury member of the 63rd Cannes Film Festival in 2010. While nominated for Best Original Score at the 2013 Oscars for the film "Argo," he continued to compose scores for significant films such as "Monuments Men" and "Godzilla."
