Description

Alberto Baldan Bembo, a versatile Milanese musician (vibraphone, piano, organ), made his mark in the 60s in Italian jazz and pop, collaborating notably with Mina, before turning to film music. His first album Io E Mara (1969), conceived as the soundtrack to an imaginary film, unfolds in ten tracks a day in the life of two lovers, blending lounge, bossa, and jazz with natural soundscapes. An intimate and sophisticated work, enriched by musicians like Bruno De Filippi, it foreshadows his future role in the golden age of Italian film music, featuring a cover designed by Guido Crepax.
