Description

Alan James "Bugsy" Eastwood is a British musician who long remained in the shadows, but is now rediscovered as a cult figure of folk-funk. After emerging in the late 1960s with The Exception, a Birmingham band that briefly included Robert Plant, Eastwood left the scene, frustrated by its artistic constraints. He retreated into introspective songwriting, and in 1971, recorded with producer Mike Cooper the album "Seeds", a stripped-down and sincere work, carried by his guitar, his harmonica, and a touching voice. Although overlooked at the time, the album is now considered a forgotten classic, sought after by collectors. The deluxe reissue of Seeds, enriched with rare singles and a booklet signed by Paul Hillery, finally brings this discreet treasure to light, recommended for fans of Nick Drake, Rodriguez, or Richie Havens.
