Myopia

Description

After three albums adorned with platinum and gold, the critically acclaimed singer and pianist, Agnes Obel, is back with "Myopia." This new album continues the artistic journey of her previous recordings and invites listeners on a musical and visual voyage. To achieve this, the artist imposed a creative isolation on herself, cutting off all external influences and distractions during the composition, recording, and mixing processes. "Paradoxically, I need to create my own myopia to make music." Agnes Obel experimented with sound processing techniques, distortion, and changes in the pitch of voices, strings, piano, celesta, and prepared piano, finding ways to merge these elements into one and assemble them so seamlessly that one feels at home within the sound she conjures throughout the album.
