Iris

Description

Achille's debut album, "Iris": She was known as Donia Berriri as a pianist, keyboardist, and saxophonist (notably alongside L, Camélia Jordana - for whom she wrote the track "Illégale" on her latest album, Nosfell - who performs with her the track "J'oublie" on this first opus, and more recently in Pierre Notte's shows, occasionally alongside Rodolphe Burger). A poet at times, her first collection, "L'inconnu cardinal," published in 2015 by Editions du Cygne, was also read in November 2016 at the Comédie-Française as part of the Grenier des Poètes. Today, she is revealed as a songwriter, composer, and performer of a unique repertoire that draws from the harmonic lushness of Debussy (to whom the pseudonym Achille is a direct homage) and contemporary sounds: a blend of acoustic piano, analog keyboards, and electronics.
