Let There Be Rock

Description

1977, AC/DC's third album to cross the oceans, like all those that followed, uses the same recipe as "High Voltage". Energy predominates here, an avalanche of riffs, increasingly feline vocals (more Bengal tiger than European shorthair), and the wild boogie that fits perfectly. The machine, now running at full throttle, goes beyond being a perfect album, delivering genre classics: the flamboyant and hyper-energized "Let There Be Rock" sprinkled with a solo homage to 1950s rock'n'roll, the generational and defiant anthem "Problem Child," and the irresistible "Whole Lotta Rosie," which continues to ignite stadiums across all continents. Once again, we feast on this deluge of fire, eventually having to admit that, as the good Bon Scott said, "Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be."
