They may have been doing the same thing for a quarter of a century, but listening to an AC/DC album still makes you want to thrash your head frantically back and forth to the pounding rhythms of the Young brothers' "made in Rock n'Roll" songs. And this live album is no exception – caught in the act in 1978, AC/DC's stage performances featuring Bon Scott are definitely the best. Ah! What a joy to hear those raw vocal cords, smoky from cigarettes and drowned in whiskey (a little too much two years later)! What a pleasure to hear the virile and bluesy riff (raff) of the two Australian brothers! That's AC/DC! Pure, unadulterated joy, irresistible rhythms, bawdy lyrics (for them, the future of man is beer!), a good dose of derision, a guitarist in shorts, and that unyielding vision of rock 'n' roll.
