Description

Formed in 1989 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA), and among the first death metal bands to be featured on a label's roster, Accidental Suicide released their one and only album in 1992, originally on Peaceville’s Deaf Records imprint, which was home to other notable acts such as At the Gates and Morta Skuld. Far more than a pure "blast" style death metal band, Accidental Suicide also introduced and utilised a more doom-laden presence, even reminiscent of other classic genre pioneers such as Paradise Lost, to give a twisted and at times dark dynamic to the tracks, with this effective diversity to the compositions thanks to tempo variations and deranged melodic passages disseminated throughout the album. Ed Jackson’s tortured and sinister vocals narrate stories of morbid brutality and murder behind a wall of punishing riffs, for what is a perfect example of classic early 90s death metal execution. This edition of 'Deceased' marks 30 years since the original release, and is presented officially on CD for the first time since the original 1992 pressing, complete with the original artwork and full lyrics.
