Description

Light and shadow, that's what characterizes 7 Weeks' music. A kind of post-Stoner with heavy riffs for sculpted, bluesy and psychedelic melodies, yet surprisingly sophisticated and very rock'n'roll. Through numerous tours (over 200 dates in France and Europe) and prestigious opening acts (Placebo, Arctic Monkeys, Triggerfinger, The Datsuns...), 7 Weeks has affirmed its stage and discographic identity, combining compositional originality with impeccable live performances. After the EP B(l)ack Days (2007) and the album All Channels Off (2009), which placed the band in the Stoner and Metal categories, the album 7 Weeks Plays Dead of Night (2011) broke references and saw the band offering atmospheric and cinematic soundscapes. The following album Carnivora (2013) delved into a vast array of influences and took the band on a 12-month tour. After a 100-date tour and the Bends EP in 2014, here is A Farewell to Dawn, 7 Weeks' new album.
