Description

Shadow and light — that is what can characterize 7 weeks’ music. A kind of post-Stoner with heavy riffs for finely crafted melodies, bluesy and psychedelic yet surprisingly sophisticated and very rock’n’roll. Over the course of tours (more than 200 dates in France and Europe) and prestigious opening slots (Placebo, Arctic Monkeys, Triggerfinger, The Datsuns...), 7 Weeks has affirmed its stage and recording identity, combining originality in composition with impeccable live performances. After an EP B(l)ack Days (2007) and the album All Channels Off (2009), which placed the band in the Stoner and Metal register, the album 7 weeks plays Dead Of Night (2011) breaks with references and sees the band offering ambient and cinematic atmospheres. The following album Carnivora (2013) dives into a broad range of influences and takes the band on 12 months of touring. After a 100-date tour and an EP Bends in 2014, here is A Farewell to Dawn, the new album by 7 weeks.
