7 days of funk

Description

The first album by 7 Days of Funk, the new group of Snoopzilla (Snoop Dogg) and Dâm-Funk. Snoopzilla is the funk alias of Snoop Dogg, the hip-hop artist who needs no introduction and this time pays tribute to Bootsy Collins. Dâm Funk, for his part, works for a return of synthetic funk; his first album Toeachizown was described by Pitchfork as "a true work of transcendence." This is Snoop Dogg's first album with a single producer since Doggystyle in 1993. Guests on the album include funk legend Steve Arrington from the group Slave, as well as rapper Kurupt (Tha Dogg Pound). The first single from the album "Faden Away" has already been praised by the press in the UK as well as in the United States, by the BBC and by Pitchfork. 7 Days of Funk is released on the independent label Stones Throw (Quakers, Madlib, and Aloe Blacc).
