Long Live Heavy Metal

Description

The Canadian band 3 Inches Of Blood started in 1999 and released their first album in 2002, still on a small label. They then signed a contract with Roadrunner Records, for which they recorded two albums, before collaborating with the equally renowned label Century Media, where the sensational "Here Waits Thy Doom" was released in 2009. The album not only entered the US charts, but even achieved real success with "Preacher's Daughter". The cover, deliberately slightly pixelated, still looks a bit strange today and could lead you down a false trail - just like the band's name, which could also be associated with a much more modern style. The choice of producer can also be described as unusual, as Jack Endino was the leading figure of the grunge scene in Seattle and the surrounding area in the nineties. But there is nothing to complain about either, because the dry, powerful sound screams only two words: Heavy Metal! In 2009, vinyl was mainly reserved for collectors, and the entire album was therefore pressed onto a single LP, which was far from optimal in terms of sound. Golden Core was finally able to eliminate this major flaw! "Here Waits Thy Doom" is not only released as a double LP in a gatefold, but also includes two bonus tracks. The audio material was specially designed for the vinyl format and goes deeper than the CD.
