It’s as if he’s still alive. Nearly five years after his death, 2Pac, the glamorous gangster of American rap, perhaps the only true star of this musical genre, returns to haunt our hi-fi systems with this first double CD of unreleased tracks from the "Makiaveli" period (the nickname he gave himself shortly before his death).
One might have expected a simple mishmash of hastily recorded demos. Not at all: this is great 2Pac that we find here, the one from his cult CD "All Eyez On Me," both enraged and romantic. The productions, sometimes raw, always vibrant, do not disappoint, making this record a must-have for any self-respecting 2Pac fan.
