13 Block chose its name in reference to the building where the group lives in Sevran (Seine Saint Denis), which has become one of the essential cities of French Rap. The quartet formed by Detess, Zefor, Ol Pee, and Zed became known through a first paid mixtape available for download on the American reference site Datpiff, before being endorsed by KAARIS who invited them on the album "Le bruit de mon âme." Today, the group releases clips viewed more than 500,000 times and announces its first Street Album of 16 tracks titled "Violence Urbaine Emeute," in a style that is still as instinctive and raw, breaking out of the underground to explode into the open.
