Sfetsas formed GFO in 1976 to fulfill an ambition dating back to the avant-garde period of the 60s when he resided in Paris: to create a work that pushed the boundaries of traditional Greek music. The result is a masterpiece blending jazz fusion with progressive accents, featuring a fascinating and complex composition, all performed by Athens' top musicians of the time. The recordings for this album, which are only a tiny part of his enormous body of work with the GFO, have never been released on disc. The music was recorded in stereo on magnetic tapes with the highest possible definition of the era, using a mastering process that highlights the quality of these recordings.
