About

12 vinyls listed including 1973's Funky Kingston and 1976's Reggae Got Soul originals.

Toots & The Maytals emerged from Jamaica's Kingston neighborhood in 1963 as a vocal group blending ska, rocksteady, and reggae with gospel and soul influences. Led by Frederick "Toots" Hibbert alongside Jerry Mathias and Raleigh Gordon, they produced several notable albums starting with early roots reggae and ska sounds. Throughout the 1970s, under Island Records among others, their international presence expanded notably with LPs such as "Funky Kingston" (1973) and "Reggae Got Soul" (1976). Their contribution includes songs like "54-46 That's My Number" and "Pressure Drop" featured in the film "The Harder They Come." The current catalog on vinyl contains 12 entries with audiophile reissues, live recordings, and collections.
