About

Mono is a Japanese post-rock group originating from Tokyo since 1999. Their music is entirely instrumental, often based on melodic guitar lines reminiscent of Loren Connors. They incorporate piano and string instruments in some compositions, producing extended tracks full of raw, emotive intensity and dynamic shifts.

Their versatile discography spans ambient atmospheres to heavier metal-influenced moments, documented in 29 vinyl releases including studio, live, and soundtrack albums mostly on labels like Temporary Residence Ltd. and Pelagic Records.
