About

Nine albums with original 1980-83 LPs on 4AD/Beggars Banquet, classic pressings from UK, Canada, Germany.

Bauhaus emerged as a foundational group in gothic rock and post-punk from the UK. Their sound incorporated glam and theatrical influences alongside the gloom of new wave. Key releases span from their debut "In The Flat Field" (1980) to "Burning From The Inside" (1983). The band disbanded in 1983, reunited for tours and recordings between 1998 and 2008, releasing albums such as "Go Away White" (2008). Bauhaus commands attention on vinyl with several pressings, including original Canadian and German LPs and reissues on 4AD and Beggars Banquet labels.

Peter Murphy's distinctive vocals, combined with Daniel Ash's guitars and saxophone, created a soundscape influential to gothic and alternative rock.
