Between electronica and chillwave, the guy does pretty well, playing with taste on light melodies and guitar or synth sounds that are rather cold and melancholic, and which could easily have found their place among the very good soundtrack of the film "Drive" alongside Chromatics, Kavinsky, Desire or College. Signed to the highly respected label Ghostly International (Matthew Dear, Gold Panda...), Tycho, without upsetting anything in the balance of global musical forces, delivers a contemplative album, very gentle, very beautiful, entirely respectable despite its great simplicity, not far from the nostalgic world of Boards Of Canada or Ulrich Schnauss. A record for spending just a little pleasant moment, in all simplicity, head turned toward the stars.
