“Desire” is the ideal gateway into the world of Tuxedomoon, whose music has never sounded dated. On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of “Desire,” here is the reissue of this landmark record, recorded by one of the first bands of the Californian underground culture with the enigmatic name: Tuxedomoon. The group’s second studio album, recorded in John Foxx’s studio, delivers an aesthetic new wave whose final result creates unique, atmospheric, and colorful moods. Particular care was taken with the remastering, from the original master tapes, in order to remove any hiss, improve the dynamics as well as the signal-to-noise ratio, and finally highlight certain frequencies, while making sure to preserve the original spirit of the recording. Equal care was taken with the cutting of the lacquers to achieve the best musical rendering through a deeper cut and thus a sound with more depth. The audiophile result will delight all fans, even the most demanding. This version includes several unreleased tracks never issued to date, accompanied by a magnificent booklet enriched with previously unseen photos and numerous testimonials from personalities proving that this album is definitely a “masterpiece.”
