TEXAS reissues the legendary SOUTHSIDE: the album that won the hearts of the French! The story of Texas is straight out of a fairy tale. In 1989, this Glasgow-based band made a huge impact with their very first album, Southside, driven by the worldwide hit “I Don't Want A Lover”. Founded by two former members of Altered Images and Love And Money, Texas instantly won over listeners with their bright pop with bluesy touches, carried by Ry Cooder-style slide guitars and the sensual voice of Sharleen Spiteri, the new icon of British rock, often compared to Chrissie Hynde. This edition, remastered from the original analog tapes at Abbey Road Studios, celebrates the dazzling beginnings of Texas. To discover or rediscover in this previously unreleased version, including for the first time on vinyl the track “Faith”. A must-have for any fan of English pop-rock.
