The first Supertramp album, released in 1970, is very different from their future hits: long tracks, psychedelic folk, and progressive rock dominate "Surely," "Words Unspoken," and "Try Again." Without Roger Hodgson yet in the spotlight as he would be later, the band is ambitiously searching for its path. An essential curiosity to hear the experimental roots of a future pop machine.
