After Wendepunkt, Pierre Dumoussaud continues his epic journey at the twilight of Germanic Romanticism: a rare triptych by Max Reger, rich in nocturnal colors and elfin dances, here rubs shoulders with two major poetic cycles by Gustav Mahler, sung by Aude Extrémo and Stéphane Degout. The orchestra of the Deauville Easter Festival adopts an intimate chamber ensemble typical of Vienna, ideal for voices to whisper in the listener's ear these tales of love and death.
