Muse's third album, Absolution, confirms the potential of Matthew Bellamy's band, considered essential for any modern rock collection. With original song structures that retain only the best of progressive rock—free of solos—Absolution gives Muse a true identity and sounds like the best of the genre. If one had to choose just one from the trio's early period, it would be this one, the very essence of the Muse style.
