Four years after Escape From Evil, Lower Dens is proud to announce its new album The Competition, due out on September 6, 2019 on Ribbon Music. The Competition is both a pop album and a manifesto, emotionally and politically engaged, where Lower Dens layers recorded sounds, live takes, electronics and harmonized synths into a wall of sound. The magnetic songs provoke as much introspection as euphoria. The result is a catchy album that fuses music and sensations: a record of resilient pop, a reflection of our time.
