A bold debut album from one of the most promising emerging voices on the British indie scene. Mancunian band The Guest List, a true indie sensation, unveils their highly anticipated first album. A raw and poignant record that captures the essence of Generation Z. Built on incisive social commentary and unfiltered storytelling, the band's sound offers a fresh and original take on the modern Manchester scene and heralds the arrival of a group destined to leave a lasting mark. Recorded in Bergen, Norway, with their collaborator Matias Tellez, Something Real builds on these foundations and expands them into a debut album of great emotional depth, tackling subjects as varied as mental health, anxiety, male suicide, domestic violence, climate change, and society's growing thirst for outrage. The album never loses sight of the intimate, striking a perfect balance between profound themes, sharp songwriting, impactful melodies, and moments of vulnerability.
