A modern folk gem, full of emotion! This Wild Willing is Glen Hansard’s fourth solo album. It was created and written in Paris with more than 24 musicians. From his partner in The Frames (Joe Doyle) and Swell Season (Marketa Irglova), to his touring musicians, and the 3 Iranian brothers met in Paris (the Kroshravesh brothers), Glen brought together around him a group of talented artists who all left an indelible mark on this recording. “We quickly realized, in the studio, that we were working on something interesting. I was finding new ways to transform songs that already existed; and we improvised new ideas every day. When you surround yourself with good musicians and do your best to keep them close to you, stay flexible, give very small directions, and allow everyone to bring their own touches, something interesting happens. (...) Some tracks were not composed in a traditional way; they are ideas developed toward a conclusion. (...) Beauty is in the ear of the listener.” - Glen Hansard
