The fourth album by the American indie rock band Duster is a new musical exploration of the darkest kind, unfolding in 13 songs. Saturated rhythms, layers of synthetic drones, and an ocean of slow, powerful guitars, Duster's slowcore reaches a new level. While their music has been described as sad, for musician Clay Parton, it ultimately leans much more towards the absurd than nihilism.
