The Toronto band returns with an abrasive grunge album somewhere between Pixies, Nirvana and Hole. The Canadian women of DILLY DALLY are back with their new album, Sore, produced by Josh Korody (Fucked Up, Greys) and Leon Taheny (Owen Pallett, Austra, Dusted). KATIE MONKS and LIZ BALL met on college benches and have never left each other since. Their love for Nirvana and Pixies served as a common foundation for forming their band. Sore is an album that is both violent and gentle, whose pop sensibility resonates in every sound. DILLY DALLY draws the listener into a psychy scream while MONK shouts her lyrics in a crescendo cadence. A sexy, brilliant album that is no less direct than the band’s previous releases. “Kurt Cobain would probably have loved Katie, Liz and their skinny boys.” Les InRocks
