This new album includes 2 major works from the violin repertoire, the concertos by Brahms & Bruch, under the baton of Zubin Mehta with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. The meeting between the violinist and the conductor is no coincidence, as they have already worked together several times over the past 20 years, the first time when David was only 12 years old! It is a great honor for me to perform these 2 works with this orchestra and a renowned conductor. It is a kind of achievement in my career as a violinist. But if every violinist has his own sound, his own way of conveying the work, in the end the only thing that matters is the composition. Everything is in the score and all that matters to me is being faithful to it, says David Garrett. David is very faithful to the composers’ intentions. In a very classical approach, which is that of his musical environment, he puts his musicality and his talent at the service of his interpretation, adds Zubin Mehta.
