A new diabolical odyssey of Heavy Metal during which Fenriz and Nocturno Culto once again demonstrate their absolute mastery of the art of the riff and why Darkthrone remains one of the most respected bands in the history of Extreme Metal.
An eclectic and uncompromising mix of Heavy Black Metal leaning towards the 80s in the purest tradition of Darkthrone: filthy and primitive. Artic Thunder was recorded and produced by the band themselves at the "Bomb shelter," the place the band used to rehearse in the late 80s.
The album addresses, through its 8 tracks with a dark atmosphere, the themes of hatred, contempt, and inner spirit. It should be noted that for this occasion, it is Nocturno Culto who handles all the vocals. The mastering has once again been entrusted to the good care of Jack Control at Enormous Door.
